has been created to provide a people centric innovation hub focused on the the globe's newest economic sector. The oceans have historically driven innovation in shipping and fishing but they now provide opportunities for energy and food production, mineral mining, satellite rocket launch and recovery, leisure and scientific research. Global connectivity via communication networks and power transmission cables are hosted by seabeds which give rise to security challenges. Our seas are fed by our rivers and with that comes pollution in the form of our waste. Management of the seas is therefore paramount for the well being of us all.
